Redefining audio conferencing with VoIP
We are moving to the latest WebRTC technology for audio conferencing. Now you can add web audio to your meeting, allowing your participants to join the conference through the internet. No one has to spend the meeting uncomfortably stuck to their phone to hear what's going on. Web audio is compatible with the latest versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.
Zoho Meeting and Zoho Assist are separate services now
Web meeting and remote support are now separate entities. You have to log in to https://meeting.zoho.com to start an online meeting and share your screen with your participants. To troubleshoot and assist your remote customers, log in to https://assist.zoho.com.
As a part of this, we have removed the remote support feature from Zoho Meeting desktop plugin for windows. You can download the Zoho Assist desktop plugin from https://assist.zoho.com/assist-setup and use it for your remote support and unattended sessions.
Calendar events get a new dimension
If you use a mail client that has mail-to-calendar integration (like Outlook, Zoho Mail, Gmail, or Yahoo Mail), your meetings will be automatically added to your schedule from the meeting invitation email. Your meeting participants can RSVP to your invitation, and you'll be notified that they're planning to attend. If you make updates to a meeting, they'll be reflected in your calendar too. So feel free to track your meetings from your calendar, knowing that you won't be missing any important information.
Multi-monitor support added to Mac OS
If you use multiple monitors, you can now choose which one you want to share with your meeting participants. We already offered this feature for Windows, and now you can use it with all versions of Mac OS too.
Upcoming and past meetings
We've tweaked the user interface in the web application to give you a better view of all of the meetings you've scheduled. Now you can focus on your upcoming meetings with a more streamlined view, and past meetings stay in their own section on the home page.
Screen sharing for macOS Sierra
The latest version of Mac OS is now completely supported for both the meeting presenter and the participants. The presenter and participant toolbars work like a charm, and you'll have an easy time hosting your meeting and sharing your screen from macOS Sierra.
ActiveX viewer is replaced with HTML viewer
Windows native toolbar for the participant (ActiveX viewer) is now replaced with the completely browser based HTML toolbar and your participants can join your meeting right from their browser itself without downloading any application.
